Our Missionaries

 Sid Rice

is the director of Literacy & Evangelism International in Tulsa, OK. Founded by Dr. Robert F. Rice and now directed by his son, the Rev. Sid Rice, Literacy & Evangelism International is an interdenominational, intermission fellowship that works in cooperation with different Christian groups: churches, mission agencies, and para-church organizations. They offer training and assistance in the creation of Bible-content adult literacy materials, helping them to begin community literacy evangelism ministries around the world.


Dick & Kathy Johnson

have been missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators for over 20 years. Kathy grew up at Good Shepherd, is the daughter of Kenneth & Ann Mills and recently received her D.Min at Gordon Conwell Seminary.  Dick and Kathy met while Dick was at Seminary, and both felt called to missions through Bible Translation. In 1986 they moved to the Philippines where they spent 10 years in administration and public affairs as well as Human Resources.  Back in the United States since 1997, Dick worked for Wycliffe's prayer ministries for a year before moving to Personnel Administration in 1998. He is the Director for Personnel in Wycliffe"s Dallas office.  Dick and Kathy live in Grand Prairie, TX and have two children, Carol and Ken.


Jeff and Carol Laughlin

are a missionary couple with Campus Crusade for Christ. who also have ties to Good Shepherd.  For the past 25 years, Jeff and Carol along with their five children have been involved in ministry in the former Soviet republic of Belarus where they have actively been training a new generation of Christian leaders for that nation. Their ministry has had an tremendous impact on the lives of those they work with.
